Description
Features of Carbonless Paper (NCR):
Carbonless paper, also known as NCR (No Carbon Required) paper, is a self-copying paper that enables the creation of multiple copies of a document without the need for carbon sheets. It consists of three layers: the top layer (CB) contains microscopic color capsules beneath its surface; the middle layer (CFB) has color capsules on the top side and color receivers on the bottom side; and the bottom layer (CF) contains only color receivers on its top surface. When writing or typing on the top layer, the color capsules break and react with the receivers in the lower layer, producing an exact copy of the text. This paper is available in various grammages, typically ranging from 50 to 120 gsm, and standard sizes such as A4 and A5.
Applications:
Carbonless paper is widely used for invoices, receipts, multi-copy forms, and financial documents. It is essential in offices, banks, retail stores, and any environment where multiple copies of a document are required. The use of NCR paper saves time, reduces human errors, and ensures cleaner, more legible documents by eliminating the need for separate carbon sheets.
